Excellent Value for money with the latest price reduction
Aug 27, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Excellent colour reproduction, no colour bleed and edge definition!
Cons: Can't find any!
Opinion:
This W Series model from Sony is an excellent piece of equipment and is real value for money, considering the drop in it's price announced recently. It has all the external inputs which one would normally require and with three HDMI inputs, it more than meets average user requirements. Picture quality is excellent with very sharp colour separation and no colour bleed. The contrast levels are a very big improvement and colour reproduction is also very good. Audio, though is average and not as good as even the old S Series models. Maybe because of much smaller speakers squeezed into the lower bar. The remote is very functional and easy to operate, with the menus also simple and straightforward. It still deserves a 9 because of the excellent picture quality.
Nice Design that would fit in almost any room decor.

Pros: Loads of features, wide array of inputs.
Cons: With the price given, I expect a superior quality audio and video that what was offered
Opinion:
I have used Sony products before but had the experience that even though it has th best design, their products breaks down after using more than 2 - 3 years. Was going for a Panasonic but the sales guy offered me this TV for around SGD 1600 with 5 years warranty, after deducting all the offers and free gifts. So I thought I would give this a try.
Connect it to my Blu ray player, PC and Ipod to check the quality from the different inputs. The quality of video when playing video files from the PC and viewing it on the Bravia TV was very good. Even text looks sharp enough when browsing the web. This is the same for my Bluray Player and also Ipod. I am quite impressed. The sound, using forced surround sound produce clear sound and deep bass. Over all quite impressed with the TV. Only gripe is that there is no dedicated button ... Read more

Pros: A classical, timeless beauty design, with a SONY dignity; a perfect picture quality and detail, great surround sound; great compatibility and features; great logical menu and ease of use; light sensor.
Cons: 8 ms response, compare to other Korean which has reached 4 ms response
Opinion:
I've been using it for 2 weeks. Got it with a great deal (15% off) from an electronic store in an electronic exhibition. Been tested it with Finding Nemo for a great and very rich color, Band of Brothers for a great contrast between dark and light, and cable TV. It's all in perfect detail, like you never seen before in other products. I've been compared it with other Japanese & Korean brands, and found it superior in pictures detail and sharpness, with a great value of money (before rebate), and much more with rebate. It also a great companion for my Wii, although PS3 must be much more better. And to my surprise, the surround sound work perfectly, made me think there's someone at the downstairs of my house (TV on the 2nd floor). Fully satisfied, and also ensured by the giant name of Sony. Been with Sony for my whole life, and this TV made me surer that ... Read more
