Microsoft Xbox 360
CNET Asia Review
Excellent
The good: All games in high-definition; excellent user-friendly Dashboard interface; built-in support for wireless controllers; excellent online gaming and communications via Xbox Live; backward compatible with many (but not all) original Xbox titles; doubles as superior digital media hub and Windows media extender; US$399 bundle includes key accessories. 8.4
out of 10View score
The bad: First wave of games is somewhat anemic; noisy exhaust fan; no built-in wireless networking; only three USB ports; no support for next-generation HD movie discs; no DVI or HDMI output; doesn't upscale DVDs to HD resolution; gigantic oversize power supply; price will almost certainly drop.
The bottom line: While it's missing a couple of potentially important features at launch, the Xbox 360 delivers the power and performance of a high-end gaming PC, including impressive digital media and networking features.

Great and value for money
Jun 18, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Less costlier than PS3 but with more variety of games, better controller ergonomics compared to 1st gen
Cons: death of hd-dvd,
Opinion:
The biggest plus for the 360 is the variety of top games available for this console. The pic quality vs PS3 is not discernable at this point.
The best solution for a hard core gamer!
Jan 31, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: The best and most diverse gaming library amongst current gen consoles
Cons: 3RL or Red Ring of Death is a very cruel thing to happen! XBox Live is not free!
Opinion:
If you're a hardcore gamer then this console is the best for you! The XBox 360 also gives out better fps among multi platform games (60fps vs 30fps@PS3 on most EA games).
The biggest downside, and real cruel, is the 3 Red Lights which mean a hardware error! Most people who buy this are hardcore games who will play for numerous hours, but playing for numerous hours increases the risks of the Red Ring of Death!!! The whole ask for a coffin, ship coffin then get replacement unit takes a long time, especially for countries who are not yet supported. Some people have also encountered issues with the disc drive. Also XBox Live (for online gaming) is a pay service unlike the PS Network!
If not for the Hardware problems & if XBox Live were free, this would have been an 11 out of 10.
Head 2 head with ps3

Pros: Superior graphics, tons of excellent games on stores..
Cons: 3rod problems does seems a risky business.. also scratching some discs..
Opinion:
Better than buying a gaming pc... the price is cheaper.. no need to install games.. Go for x360!
