I am in the market for a full-HD LCD TV. I need your honest opinion for the
Samsung LA40A650A1RXXS and
Sony Bravia KLV-40V400A. I can't seem to decide between the two of them.

I am afraid you are not making an apple to apple comparison here. The Samsung is a high-end full-HD panel, while the Bravia V400 is a midrange equivalent. Futhermore, there's really minimal advantage in having full-HD resolution on a 40-incher. You may want to consider the same Sony vs.
Samsung's LA40A450C1XXS instead. Do keep in mind factors such as cost, design and features when choosing the right TV.
