Can I run Linux on the Asus U6S or U6E?

Question on Notebooks:

I am interested in buying the ASUS U6S and U6E notebooks. I would like to know if I can run Linux on these notebook.

Running Linux is not an issue on these machines. However, you need to check if the Linux drivers are available for your particular model. Most Linux distributions come with a Live CD option which allows you to try that particular Linux version on your PC without having to override your current operating system. Use the Live CD to determine if the distribution has the correct drivers already built-in for your system.
