LCD monitor plays a little music

Darius Chang  |  Dec 13, 2006

Faster response rate and high resolution may be nice, but Viewsonic wants more from its LCDs and has integrated an iPod dock in its latest monitor.

The ViewDock VX2245wm LCD is a 22-inch widescreen display that combines an iPod dock and a 2.1-channel speaker system with subwoofers for a monitor that sings. It's no slouch in other areas, either, with 1,680 x 1,050 resolution, 700:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 280cd/m2 brightness and dual DVI and VGA connectors. Other extras include an 8-in-1 memory card reader and USB ports. It is already available in stores and retails for S$788 (US$553.84).
