Solved: The Mysterious Case of the Chinese Robot Restaurant
Jul 25, 2008 09:36
While China is widely reputed to have less-than-stellar working conditions, a certain restaurant in Yiwu China appeared to be taking things a little extreme. The restaurant was in full swing 21 hours a day (from 6am to 3am), and the tireless proprietors had earned the unusual nickname of the "Robot Couple."
Well, it seems that this mystery was recently solved when a reported headed to Yiwu to interview them.

A million 3G iPhones sold, a million Chinese iPhones cracked
Jul 16, 2008 22:59
The second coming of the Jesus phone topped 1 million in sales on Sunday, according to Apple Insider, and that's definitely an impressive number considering all the headaches that people are reporting with activation. Jul 9, 2008 23:50
Adium is an awesome little IM program. Those of you out there using it as a substitute for MSN Messenger or GTalk or whatever, you'll probably be interested to know that the new Adium beta version 1.3b7 (released on July 4) now supports Facebook chat. I've not been a fan of this new-fangled Facebook Chat since it's tied to the browser window. And given the problems that Facebook has been having in China these days, that's all the more reason to find a browser-free alternative such as this one.
